  4. The number for reporting child abuse • There are different numbers to report child abuse in different counties. • These are the child abuse hotline numbers 800-25-ABUSE (800-252-2873)217-785-4020

  5. How soon they will react • They will react within 24 hours if a formal report is taken. • They will start sooner if they think the child is in immediate harm.
