Mandate • To conduct a review of existing pharmacy oncology resources available for professional development (6 months) • To develop and conduct a needs assessment to determine the priorities for the CON pharmacy oncology education program (8 months) • To develop and initiate a pilot project of one continuing education module (12 months)

  4. Review of existing resources • Alberta • Saskatchewan • Manitoba • Nova Scotia • Ontario • Specialty Practice Standards for Oncology Pharmacy in Canada, CAPhO (draft) • Concepts in Oncology Therapeutics, 2nd Edition

  5. Development of Needs Assessment • Distributed July 2002 • Three Sections • Section One: Role of the CON pharmacist (questions 1-15) • Section Two: Priorities for content (questions 16-23) • Section Three: Best method for delivery (questions 24-29)
