Online diagnostic tests In one of the chemistry courses, students’ learning is followed even more closely. Each part of the course starts with a diagnostic test that examines necessary pre-knowledge and ends with a test to assess learning. Factual knowledge, problem solving ability and understanding were tested. Question Mark Perception was used as an assessment tool. Aim is to inform of both students and lecturer about the ongoing learning process to enable students to adjust their learning, and the lecturer to adjust his teaching. The initiative for this double-aimed intensive testing came from the lecturer.
