Visit www.kidblog.org • Click on “Create a Class” • Display Name: What your blog will be called • Class Name: “Mrs. Streefland’s Third Grade” • Activate account by verifying e-mail address • WELCOME to you DASHBOARD Step One – Create a Class in KidBlog
Write Down Class ULR – this can be set up as a link to take students directly to log-in. • Choose Theme “Background Colors/Theme” • Choose Class Avatar (Any photo or graphic that will appear on main Blog) • Adjust “Post” settings (For student’s posts to be viewed before publishing) • Adjust “Comment” settings (For student’s comments to be viewed before publishing) Step Two – Customize Settings
Use Infinite Campus roster to add your class into KidBlog • Use first names only • Common passwords or lunch code passwords Step Three – Enter Student Names
Consider the subject/purpose of the post • What will the students do for comments? • Consider the type of post • Text Post • Photo Post • Recording Post • Video Post Step Four – Publish a Post & Comment
