  2. Solving customer portable design challenges Market Requirements Design Challenges Solutions Consumers demand improved audio quality and longer battery life from their portable devices which has big implications for end equipment manufacturers…. Portable device manufacturers are challenged to develop cost-efficient, high-performance, feature-rich audio solutions that consume very little power  NEW! TLV320AIC3254

  3. Introducing the TLV320AIC3254 • Lowest power codec with integrated miniDSP in production today with leading CE companies • PowerTuneTM technology enables customers to optimize power under any usage model down to 2.4mW in stereo playback • miniDSP allows users to run complex algorithms to differentiate their products without increased investment • PurePathTM Development Studio toolkit simplifies design complexity and reduces time to market • Codec complements TI’s portable audio portfolio including speaker amplifiers, power management and low power processors including the DM3x, OMAP35x and OMAP-L1

  4. PowerTuneTM technology optimizes power consumption for usage model • With PowerTuneTM technology, designers can fine tune the power consumption of their application • Stereo recording range From 6.0 mW @ 88 dB to 14.2 mW @ 93 dB SNR and advanced digital processing • Stereo music playback range From 2.4 mW @ 90 dB SNR to 5.1mW @ 100 dB SNR • Provides designers with the flexibility to operate from very low digital supply voltages like 1.26 V further reduce power consumption

  5. miniDSP enhances audio and PurePathTM Development Studio reduces time to market Integrated miniDSP audio processing engine allows users to run complex algorithms while freeing MIPS on the primary processor Includes a complete algorithm library to optimize audio performance, such as: Echo cancellation Stereo graphic equalizer Dynamic range compression Bass boost Loudness compensation • Enables customers to compile, configure, and load their application into the integrated miniDSP engines in an intuitive, drag-and-drop graphical environment • Requires no in-house algorithm expertise or additional investment in software resources for code development • Simplifies design complexity and reduces time to market

  6. Enhancing sound to differentiate products Algorithms help customer’s differentiate designs without increased investment, including: Big sound from small speakers Sound field expansion Surround sound without speakers or wires
