Getting to know you • Please take time to introduce yourself to your fellow participants by sharing the following: • Name • Organization • Your Role within the Organization • Number of Years of Relevant Experience • Fact about Your Location of Origin • True or False Statement about You — Others Guess True or False

  3. Setting personal objectives • Take five minutes to write at least two personal objectives with respect to your participation and affix them to the flipchart or board in front of the room. • I will group and categorize them, and we will discuss them in a large group.

  4. Course focus and objective • To learn about and the Global Performance Benchmarking report and the significance of its rankings to investment promotion intermediaries. • To improve your effectiveness in the GIPB-specific investment facilitation topics of: • Investor inquiry handling and • Online presentation of investor information.

  5. Course structure • There are two full days of large group, small group, and individual exercises. • Each day features some interactive sessions with high participation requirements. • There is an overnight assignment on day two. • Discuss agenda in binder.

  6. Ground rules exercise • Participants split into two groups, and each takes a flipchart and marker. Brainstorm ground rules together. • Two groups come back together, and the lists are discussed, pointing out which ground rules were common and which were different. • Questions
