  2. A Successful Gospel Meeting • Church Must Realize Its Responsibility • Each member do his/her part • Invite the lost, follow-up & encourage • Emphasize Bible preaching

  3. A Successful Gospel Meeting • Purpose • Save lost: Alien & erring Christian (Mt. 28:19-20; Jas. 5:19-20) • Edify church: feed, strengthen, encourage (Acts 14:22; 20:32; 1 Thess. 5:11) • Honor & Glorify God (Eph. 3:21)

  4. A Successful Gospel Meeting • Preparation (Col. 3:23-24) • What have I done? • Pure life, good example in community • Invited, challenge, try and stir up • Exhort other members (Heb. 3:15) • A Great Work to be done (Neh. 6:3)

  5. A Successful Gospel Meeting • Presence • Can’t expect visitors to be here if we’re not. • Presence necessary (Ti. 3:8; Jas. 4:17) • Plans made for the meeting: • Cancel appts.: ball games, special events...

  6. A Successful Gospel Meeting • Prospects(Jn. 4:25) • Paul encouraged (Acts 18:9-10) • Family, friends, clerks, barber… • Participation(Jn. 4:24) • Join heartily into the services • Greet visitors, invite response

  7. A Successful Gospel Meeting • Preaching Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. (2 Tim. 4:2) For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe. (1 Cor. 1:21)
