Halloween Traditions. Halloween is an annual holiday celebrated in a few countries on October, 31. Common Halloween activities include Trick-or-treating, wearing costumes, attending costume parties, Carving pumpkins, Apple bobbing and watching horror films. A popular treat on Halloween is barmbrack. Usually people put a pea-which means that the person would not marry that year, a stick- to beat one’s wife with, the cloth or rag-to have bad luck or to be poor, the coin-enjoy good fortune and the ring- to be married within the year.
