Our Father, who art in heaven Hallowed be thy name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done On earth as it is in heaven Give us this day our daily bread And forgive us our trespasses As we forgive those who trespass against us And lead us not into temptation But deliver us from the evil one For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the Glory. Forever, Amen.

  11. Led by the Spirit St. Philip was led by the Holy Spirit to meet an Ethiopian man who was the treasurer of the Ethiopian queen. He was a man of great authority The Ethiopian man was reading a book from the Holy Bible = the book of Isaiah!

  12. Isaiah (53:7-8) • He was reading: • “He was oppressed and He was afflicted, yet He opened not His mouth: He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so he opened not His mouth. He was taken from prison and from judgment, and who will declare His generation? For He was cut off from the land of the living; for the transgressions of My people He was stricken.” (Isaiah 53:7-8)

He took the Chance • St. Philip: • Do you understand what you are reading? • Ethiopian man: • How can I understand without someone to explain to me? • St. Philip took this chance from God to tell him about Jesus Christ who was crucified and resurrected for our sake. • Do you remember another Saint who took the opportunity given to him like this to preach the Gospel?
