  1. An electronic medical record system needs to contain everything you need to keep track of your clients' information. The pmo system must utilise the most advanced database technologies available to store and sort everything you record efficiently and cost-effectively. It is therefore preferable to use a system with a reliable background and is used by thousands of healthcare professionals around the world. Users need a flexible and versatile solution that can be adapted to the needs of each user. Users can be specialists, psychologists, home care therapists, nursing homes and even hospitals. With such a wide range of healthcare professionals catering to a patients needs, there is a strong catalyst for a software system that supports all these different needs. Charting the way you want it In the medical record, it is needs to be possible to record both free text and as well as standardized values, multiple selections and drop-down lists and more. With pre-defined note templates, you can easily coordinate and standardize your charting while saving time and effort. Pre-defined template can define the shape and structure of notes. The note templates should be tailored to your needs. You decide what you record and how. Your medica record system needs to comply with legislation on electronic medical records and personal data protection laws. All registrations in the medical record system need to be fully traceable with respect to who performed the registration and when. Registration also needs to be version-controlled, i.e. when the data is changed, all previous versions must be saved with a timestamp and the ID of the user who made the change. Even if the registration is deleted, it should still be accessible and recoverable. Unauthorized parties must not access your data. An EHR system needs built-in access control for all data. Such access control should define exactly what users have access to. The user only has access to the data that he is given special permission to view and nothing else. In addition it is preferrable if a system offers specialized access controls such as read-only access and delegate access. With read-ony access, the user can only view data but can not edit or save new records. With representative access, a user can only register on behalf of other users who come e.g. useful for secretaries and other assistants.
