  1. WHAT IS BONE MARROW? BONE MARROW is the soft medium in between the center of the bones . It creates stem cells and substance to produce blood cells.

  2. TYPES OF BLOOD CELLS ? There are three types of blood cells produced by the BONE MARROW • Red blood cells • Platelets • White blood cells For each blood cell there is a duty in our body. They help to maintain our body function in normal formation.

  3. FUNCTIONS OF BLOOD CELLS? RED BLOOD CELLS : Most of these types of cells carries oxygen to tissues in the body . They have the protein called hemoglobin. They are used to find malnutrition, anemia, dehydration and leukemia.A complete blood cell (CBC) test usually includes determining the quantity of red blood cells in the blood.

  4. PLATELETS : Platelets are helpful for blood clot to stop the bleeding and help wounds heal. They are the very largest cells in the bone marrow. Chemical signals are also sent out to recruit additional platelets. Aggregation is the process through which more platelets build up on the clot.

  5. WHITE BLOOD CELLS: White blood cells help the body fight infections and other diseases. It is part of the body's immune system. The amount of white blood cells in your body is only 1 percent but the impact that creates is big. They are also called leukocytes.

  6. ANOTHER ORIGIN OF BONE MARROW STEM CELLS: Is the blood that flows through the veins and arteries. They are also known as peripheral blood stem cells(PBSC). PBSC are used to collect in certain stem cells for transplantation.PBSC levels in the blood are relatively high in patients recovering from chemotherapy and healthy people treated with medicines that stimulate bone marrow development.
