Mini-lessons • Beginning in January • Meet for “mini-lessons” to get background information about the trip. • Includes: • Virtual fieldtrips of sites on itinerary • Historical background related to itinerary • Information on logistics- (i.e. getting through security) • Time to get to know other travelers and the chaperones. • Lessons will be taught by the chaperones during lunch and homeroom about once every two weeks throughout the second semester.

Payment options EF’S MONTHLY PAYMENT PLAN MANUAL PAYMENT PLAN • $99 deposit upon enrollment • Program Fee divided into manageable monthly payments • Convenient monthly payments charged to a debit or credit card • Free, and no late fees • Final due date extended up to 35 days before departure • Works great with fundraising • Highly recommended! • Upon enrollment: $99 enrollment deposit (non-refundable) • 30 days after enrollment: Account must have $350 total paid • 110 days prior to departure:Account must be paid in full • Please note that Non-Refundable Late Fees ranging from $40-85 will apply if payments are not received by the dates they are due

  21. Scrip cards are gift cards from stores that are purchased through the program for a reduced amount (usually 2-5%). Check website for most current percentage. The person buying the card gets a card for full value. The difference goes to the fundraiser student. Many stores’ gift cards are available. The program will run throughout the year. Think of using it for everyday purchases, gifts, etc. For example: Sell a $100 gift card for Walmart to a family member. The family member pays $100 for the gift card- full value The actual cost for the gift card through the scrip program is $97.50. The $2.50 difference goes toward the student’s trip cost. Scrip Cards

Grocery Bagging • Students work a 2 hour shift bagging groceries for customers • Customers can put donations in NRMS Boston Trip collection buckets • All money is collected through NRMS and averaged over the number of shifts worked • Funds earned are deposited into your EF Explore American Account quarterly • Students earn based on time worked- not personal tips • Last year, a student shift averaged over $15 per hour worked • Sign-up by contacting Mrs. Schmidt

  23. Scratch Cards • A fun way to ask for donations from friends, families and neighbors • No cost to you • All money collected must be turned in to NRMS but will be deposited into your EF Explore America Account.

We have maximum 49 spots available for students (after 49 EF will put students on a waiting list) • If we get enough to take a second bus, EF will transfer waiting list to registered • Spots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. We can not save any spots on the tour. • In order to ensure a spot on the trip, the student must be registered with EF Explore America
