WECC Glossary of TermsCurrent Status • WECC terms (144) - capitalized in WECC documents but with no definition in the existing WECC glossary • WECC staff completed review of these terms • Many have definitions that were approved in the development of the document • Some do not have a definition
WECC Glossary of TermsCurrent Status - WECC terms (144) • Four potential courses of action • One or more identified for each term • Include definitions from the following documents in the WECC glossary • WECC regional reliability standards • WECC business practices • WECC criteria • Delete the term • Proper name • Section Title
WECC Glossary of TermsCurrent Status - WECC terms (144) • Four potential courses of action – cont. • Develop a new definition • Would require approval • Would require taking the document back through the Process for Developing and Approving WECC Standards • Revise the document containing the term • Lower case • Different defined term • Revisions to regional reliability standards, business practices, and criteria would require taking the document back through the Process for Developing and Approving WECC Standards
WECC Glossary of TermsCurrent Status • WECC terms (127) - contained in existing glossary • Definitions exist for these terms • Unknown what level of due process these definitions underwent • Have not been reviewed by WECC staff yet • What level of review is necessary • Staff • Industry
WECC Glossary of TermsProposal • Add all terms from WECC regional reliability standards, business practices, and criteria, with a definition, to the Glossary • Approved during development • Terms with definitions from the old WECC Glossary • Distribute to the industry for review and comment to determine if the definitions acceptable as general information? • Delete all these terms?
WECC Glossary of Terms • Capitalized terms from WECC documents with no definition • Identify the “owner” of these terms • Initiate the Process for Developing and Approving WECC Standards to either develop a definition or modify the document • Time consuming process • Will need to be done in steps
