Make every effort to schedule doctor appointments and personal activities on these dates. • A leave request form must be submitted prior to day of absence except in the case of emergency illness. • Approved leave request forms must be submitted with your time sheet.

  7. Bell Schedule • 1st Period 8:20 – 9:10 • 2nd Period 9:15 – 10:05 • 3rd Period 10:10 – 11:00 • 4th Period 11:05 – 11:55 • 5th Period 12:00 – 1:30 • 6th Period 1:35 – 2:25 • 7th Period 2:30 – 3:20

  8. Master Schedule • The schedule in your folder is the Master Schedule for this school year. • All documents such as course syllabi, career pathways, curriculum maps, etc. should align with the Master Schedule.

  9. Student Information Packets • Student Enrollment Application must be completed by students in class during the first couple of days. • Student Information Packets: Internet/Computer User Agreements; Media Release; Safety; etc. • Review each application and place in alphabetical order before submitting them to the office on August ?, 2012.

  10. Handbooks • Each teacher will receive 25 copies of the handbook. • Please go over the information in the handbook during the first week. • There is a quiz to accompany the handbook if you wish to provide it.

  11. Safety Classroom safety reports will be due on the 1st of each month. I will send you a reminder each month. The monthly inspection sheets will be kept on file in the front office.

  12. Substitute Folder • Must include the following: • Completed Folder Form • Class Rosters • Two sets of emergency lesson plans • Workplace/Job Seeking Activities • Math worksheets • Writing assignments • Turn into the office by August ?, 2012

  13. Breaks/Vending Area • Breaks are not to be taken during the first 10 minutes of class! • There will not be time for breaks everyday with only 50 minutes for instruction. • Students MUST be accompanied by their teacher. I will not open the gate for students.

Course Syllabi • Each student should receive a copy of the course syllabus during the first week of class. • The syllabus must follow the program assessment format. • Make sure the syllabus aligns with master schedule, certificates, and task lists. • Put the date of 2012-2013 on all syllabi • A copy of your syllabi are due in the office on August ?, 2012.

Posted on the Board Daily • (Learning Target) Today I will learn to: • Post from the general journal to the general ledger. • Recognize the types of normal balances carried by different accounts. • Tasks • Check master cylinder for internal/external leaks • Determine necessary action • Remove, bench bleed, and reinstall master cylinder Essential Question: What are the five (5) main actions or movements of muscles?

Overview of the Five-Step Walk-Through Observation Structure • Student Orientation to the Work – Do students appear to be attending when you first walk into the room? • Curricular Decision Points – What objective(s) has the teacher chosen to teach at this time and how aligned are they to the prescribed written curriculum? • Instructional Decision Points – What instructional practices is the teacher choosing to use at this time to help students achieve the learning of the curriculum objectives? • “Walk-the-Walls”: Curricular and Instructional Decisions – What evidence is there of past objectives taught and/or instructional decisions? • Safety and Health Issues – Are there any noticeable safety or health issues that need to be addressed?

KOSSA Reflection Questions • What should be our goal for the 2011 passage rate? • Am I familiar with the standards from which the test is developed? • Are my students aware of the importance of the skill standards assessments? • Should my students be assessed instead with an industry recognized test (MNA, ASE, MOS)? • Would I benefit from participating in the item analysis, question writing, or scenario scoring sessions? • Have I always included an open response/scenario question on all unit/chapter tests?

  20. Professional Development • The PD cycle runs July 1 – June 30. • A PD record must be submitted by June 15 of each year. • Teachers must earn a minimum of 25 hours each year. • Opportunities this year • Scenario Writing (3 hours) • Book Study (6 hours) • Curriculum Mapping (3 hours)
