Important vocabulary: • Confederation: An organization that is made up of different groups coming together in an alliance or agreement • Executive branch: the branch of government that enforces laws (the president or king) • Legislative branch: the branch of government that makes laws • Judicial branch: the branch of government that interprets the laws (decides whether or not laws follow the government’s rules) • Commerce: trade
