Katakana • Another symbol of phonetic sounds in JPN • Stemmed from complex kanji • Currently used to write loan words (foreign words), onomatopoeia, and more • Angular look e.g. めありー(hiragana) → メアリー(katakana)
Grammar: Whose <noun> is [demonstrative pronoun]? [Demonstrative pronoun] wadareno <noun>desuka。 e.g Whose book is this? korewadarenohondesuka It is my book. sore wawatashi no hondesu.
Grammar: A is X. B is X, too. A wa X desu。 B mo X desu。 e.g. You are a student, too. anatamogakuseidesu。
