  4. TURN TOWARD THE LAKE FROM HWY 207 AT THE RANGER STATION, THEN GO TO THE DIRT RD JUST UPLAKE of 17499 N SHORE DRIVE (Building 1211)

  6. MORE INFO • THE GATED DIRT ROAD IS ABOUT A QUARTER MILE LONG, DOWNHILL • WE BELIEVE THE GRAVEL LOT ACROSS FROM THE GATE COULD BE USED FOR PARKING • IT COULD BE A TAKEOUT FOR A WHITE RIVER TRIP

  8. PARKING FOR UNIVERSITY BEACH IS 1.2 MILES FROM THE N SHORE RDAND HWY 207 JUNCTION. WATCH FOR A SIGN WHICH SAYS “YMCA CAMP”

  9. IT IS BETWEEN THE YMCA CAMP AND THE FIRST PRIVATE HOUSE ON N SHORE RD A TRAIL LEADS FROM N SHORE ROAD TO THE LAKE, NO SIGNS

  11. USE SOUTH ENTRANCE TO PARK

  12. DISCOVER PASS AND A DAY LAUNCH PERMIT REQUIRED, UNLESS YOU HAVE AN ANNUAL LAUNCH PERMIT WHICH WILL COVER PARKING AND LAUNCHING

  13. THE SWIMMING AREA CAN BE USED FOR CANOES AND KAYAKS

  14. GLACIER VIEW CAMPGROUND WENATCHEE NATIONAL FOREST 5.5 MILES FROM SOUTH STATE PARK ENTRANCE

  15. IS ON OPPOSITE SIDE OF LAKE FROM OTHER SITES CAN BE A TAKEOUT FOR THE WHITE RIVER, BUT SHUTTLE IS LONGER BOAT LAUNCH FEE $5 A NORTHWEST FOREST PASS REQUIRED UNLESS YOU PAID FOR A CAMPSITE

  17. A ROAD PARALELL TO THE LAKE WENATCHEE HIGHWAY GOES BETWEEN BRAEBURN RD AND THE RIVER, JUST DOWNSTREAMOF THE FIRST BRIDGE ACROSS THE WENATCHEE RIVER

  18. BE SURE NOT TO BLOCK ACCESS OF THE BRAEBURN RDRESIDENTS, THIS CAN ALSO BE A TAKEOUT FORNASON CREEK

  24. WHILE THE BRIDGE IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION • OLD ACCESS BELOW THE BRIDGE IS BLOCKED BY THE PROJECT • SAFETY CONCERNS DICTATE THAT BOATERS SHOULD NOT PASS UNDER THE BRIDGE WHILE WORK IS IN PROGRESS

PROCEDURE APPROVED BY THE FOREST SERVICE • TAKEOUT ONLY • USE THE TRAIL BETWEEN CAMPSITES 13 AND 14 • NOTE WHAT THE TAKEOUT WILL LOOK LIKE WHEN YOU ARE PADDLING • LEAVE SHUTTLE VEHICLE IN THE DAY USE PARKING AREA OR A CAMPSITE YOU RESERVED • REMOVE BOATS AND VEHICLES AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE AFTER TAKEOUT

  26. WHEN PADDLING, LOOK FOR A RIVER RIGHT EDDY, SOON AFTER THE CHIWAUKUM CREEK ENTERS THE WENATCHEE RIVER

  29. DIRECTIONS • FROM HIGHWAY 2, TURN SOUTHWEST ONTO EAST LEAVENWORTH RD, BETWEEN THE BRIDGE AND SAFEWAY • GO 7/10’s of a MILE, WHEN ROAD BENDS LEFT, TAKE DIRT ROAD TO THE RIGHT

  31. PESHASTIN WDFW SITE • TURN AT PESHASTIN TRAFFIC LIGHT AND CROSS OVER BRIDGE • TURN RIGHT ONTO SCHOOL STREET AFTER THE SCHOOL ON THE RIGHT • WATCH FOR A FISH ACCESS SIGN AT THE END OF THE STREET

  36. DIRECTIONSHEADING SOUTH FROM HWY 2 & 97 JCT • TAKE FIRST LEFT TURN AFTER THE JUNCTION (AS IF TO CAFÉ) • TAKE SAUNDERS RD (ON YOUR LEFT) • AFTER DRYDEN GUN CLUB, BUT BEFORE THE PESHASTIN CREEK BRIDGE, TURN RIGHT ONTO DOT ROAD • CONTINUE TO PARKING/PORTAGE/DAM AREA

  42. DIRECTIONS • TAKE DRYDEN AVENUE INTO THE TOWN • AT THE STOP SIGN, TURN RIGHT ONTO MAIN ST • GO A SHORT DISTANCE, THEN TURN LEFT ONTO DEPOT RD • CROSS THE RR TRACKS, GO TO END OF PAVEMENT, THEN FOLLOW SIGN

DIRECTIONS FROM CASHMERE • TURN TOWARD RIVER AT APLETS WAY (STOP LIGHT ON HIGHWAY) • TURN RIGHT ONTO SUNSET HIGHWAY • GO A COUPLE OF MILES, AFTER A LONG GUARD RAIL, WATCH FOR A HOUSE WITH A BLUE METAL ROOF – NUMBER 7444 IS ON HOUSE • TURN INTO LOWER DRIVEWAY, WATCH OUT FOR ORCHARD VEHICLES, STAY TO LEFT WHEN THE ROAD FORKS

DIRECTIONS FROM DRYDEN • IF DRIVING TOWARD WENATCHEE, TURN RIGHT ONTO JOHNSON RD AT DRYDEN INTERSECTION • MAKE A QUICK LEFT ONTO STINE HILL RD • SHORTLY AFTER THE 2ND PINE FLATS LOOP RD, TURN LEFT ONTO UNMARKED RD (THE LOWER OF THE TWO) (YOU WILL BE 1.6 MILES FROM DRYDEN INTERSECTION) • STAY TO THE LEFT WHEN THE ROAD FORKS
