  1. Many homes today have adopted tiled flooring around the home for several reasons including attractiveness, great for warmer climates, durability, and cleaning. Compared to keeping rugs and carpets clean tiled floors are easier especially when it comes to dry spills. However, they are even easier to keep looking as good as new with all the great tile floor cleaning machines out there. Here we look at what to consider when you want to use tile and grout cleaning machines for home use.

  2. Size and weight - The size of the tile floor cleaning machines you look at depends on things like how much floor surface is there to clean and how large a machine are you able to handle without being too tired to get it all done. It is not always the case that bigger means more able to clean heavy duty stains, there are plenty of lighter models that can handle tough jobs. Make sure when you think about the weight and how that would be to handle, that you also include the weight of the water when the tank is full.

  3. Convenience - You want your floor cleaner to make life easier for you not harder! Make sure if you are using a corded machine that the power cord is long enough, but not so long that you keep having to move it out of the way. Is the power switch in a convenient place. Is the capacity of the tank large enough that you will not have to stop mid clean to re-fill and reheat for a steam cleaner? Does it come with wheels to make it easier to move around? Is the refilling and emptying process easy to do and not messy? Durability - Nobody wants to buy a tile and grout cleaning machines for home use and have to replace it in just a year or two. Check all the parts as well as the main material to see if it is made to last.

  4. Accessories - Most tile floor cleaning machines or Best Handheld Steam Cleaner come with tools and accessories to help with the cleaning. Do you need any of these or will they sit somewhere taking up space? Are the pads used for cleaning washable and how expensive are they to buy if they need to be replaced regularly? Temperatures and safety issues - When using steam cleaner care should be taken with the heat. Those that reach higher temperatures do sanitize floors better and so a better job of cleaning, but care has to be taken that you cool it down properly and are not likely to hurt yourself. There are some models that allow you to use chemical cleaning as well as steam if you want that.

  5. Summary - There are some great models out there that are very effective at cleaning, and they come in a range of prices, styles, and sizes. Keep these tips in mind when you are shopping for a new floor cleaner and you will be able to narrow down your options in no time!
