  2. August 2014 1 Club Overview MilnrowJuniors FC is a new and exciting junior football club, established in July 2014. The Club is built upon solid long term player development foundations, underpinned by the belief that new strategies are required to improve the learning environment for 4-12 year old children, the critical years for shaping a child’s successful participation in football. The Club is proud to have The Soccer Village, Milnrow as a base and are delighted to be in the position of providing football learning and playing opportunities to an estimated 100 youngsters every week. Every child, regardless of ability, is given the opportunity to improve whilst having lots of fun in the process. The learning environment is “informed” and coaching activities and sessions are connected to individual competencies and confidence boosting quarterly award ceremonies. The Club was affiliated to Manchester FA in July 2014 and are on trackto achieve the prestigious Charter Standard by the end of the year. In our first season we have entered a total of 7 teams into The Heywood and North Bury Junior Leagues. Milnrow Juniors FC

  3. August 2014 2 Community Milnrowis a suburban town (pop. 12,500) within the Metropolitan Borough of Rochdale. Our Club has been formed to provide a footballing hub for the area, with the specific aim of attracting local children to get involved in football. Our new Club provides a pathway / development opportunities that children age 4-12years old can follow should they wish to take their game to the next level. All coaching sessions are age appropriate and feature two main components – Individual skill development and theme based SSG’s (small sided games). Skill is encouraged, developed and celebrated. This enables children to become confident and enthusiastic about the game. These individual skills are then applied in a team environment through the playing of lots of SSG’s, which offer more player participation, more touches of the ball, more passes attempted, more 1v1′s attempted, more goals scored & more goalkeeper participation. The Club is proud to be partnered with The Soccer Village, Everton Youth Academy, and most recently Huddersfield Town FC. Theseare exciting partnerships that ensure we are continually able to provide every child with the very best introduction to the game along withfurther development opportunities. Milnrow Juniors FC

  4. August 2014 3Sponsorships We are currently exploring funding opportunities that will help sustain our club and provide us with a platform to grow. Our immediate priority is supplying our teams with kits. If you own or work in a local business and are keen to show your support for our club within the local community, please contact me (Kevin Dunkerley) on 07973 814675 or E-Mail kevindunkerley@milnrowjuniors.net I would be delighted to discuss in more detail what our new club has to offer to a potential sponsor. (To give an idea of the amount of sponsorship we are urgently looking for, a mini soccer / junior team kit typically costs around £250 - £300/kit) Milnrow Juniors FC

  5. August 2014 4 Sponsorships – What we offer in return AdvertisingOpportunities - Club website and social media, tournamentprogram, monthly newsletters, advertising boards at our home venue. Exposure - Opportunities to give money off incentives, receive recommendations to hundreds of parents throughout the Club. Branding – Company logos would appear on team kits – front of shirts. Logos would also be promoted on websites, newsletters, advertising boards. A sponsor gains the visual awareness of its brand and builds a feel-good factor thanks to its association with the local junior Club. Links– Sponsors linked with a new and exciting junior football club, who have been fast tracked by Manchester FA to achieve The Charter Standard award by the end of 2014. The award recognises and rewards high quality levels of provision in club football. The kitemark is awarded to clubs that are well run, sustainable, which place child protection, quality coaching and safety paramount. Cost Effective Marketing– A team kitsponsorship may cost £300, but a directmarketing campaign within the borough would cost closer to £3,000. Milnrow Juniors FC
