  20. Love your neighbor as yourself… COMMANDMENT!! Not ‘optional choice’ Not ‘if I feel like it’ Not ‘idea’ COMMANDMENT!! From God to Moses (part of the Big Ten) From Jesus to us (one of the Super Big Two)

  21. 2 Corinthians 5:18-20 New Living Translation (NLT) 18 And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him. 19 For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation.20 So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!”

  22. The sharing of our faith is a natural thing. God extends His grace to us and we simply let people know about it.

  23. Galatians 5:22-23 Contemporary English Version (CEV) 22 God’s Spirit makes us loving, happy, peaceful, patient, kind, good, faithful, 23 gentle, and self-controlled. There is no law against behaving in any of these ways.

  24. Make a friend • Be a friend • Introduce your friend to Christ

  25. 2 Corinthians 5:11-21 11Since, then, we know what it is to fear the Lord, we try to persuade others. What we are is plain to God, and I hope it is also plain to your conscience. 12 We are not trying to commend ourselves to you again, but are giving you an opportunity to take pride in us, so that you can answer those who take pride in what is seen rather than in what is in the heart. 13 If we are “out of our mind,” as some say, it is for God; if we are in our right mind, it is for you.

  26. 14 For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. 15 And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again. 16 So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer.

  27. 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! 18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.

  28. 20 We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God. 21 God made him who had no sin to be sin[b] for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

  29. Sharing our Faith requires our WORDS AND our DEEDS

  30. “What situation needs God’s love?” “What are the resources needed, both personal and physical?” “What are the consequences of your action?”

  31. Matthew 10:19 “When you are arrested, don’t worry about what to say in your defense, because you will be given the right words at the right time.”

  32. Matthew 5:10-11 10 “Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11“Blessed are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of Me. 12 Rejoice and be glad, for your reward in heaven is great; for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you

  33. An active faith does not consist of OCCASIONAL heroic acts, but is a way of life and is done naturally every day.

  34. Luke 10:1 Now after this the Lord appointed seventy others, and sent them in pairs ahead of Him to every city and place where He Himself was going to come.

  35. Sharing of faith must be authentic, not “better than thou”

  36. Make a friend • Be a friend • Introduce your friend to Christ

  37. 2Cor. 3:1-3 Are we beginning to commend ourselves again? Or do we need, like some people, letters of recommendation to you or from you? 2 You yourselves are our letter, written on our hearts, known and read by everyone. 3 You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.

  38. Matthew 7:12 12So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets

  39. John 13:14-15 14Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. 15 I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you
