Key project highlights LLN Hub – an online collaboration space for LLN and VET teachers to access quality resources, case studies and indicator tools which are trialled, validated assessments to support learner literacy and numeracy skills. Moving to eLearning - includes a number of Moodle sequence templates for various teaching situations, a matrix linking learning to tools and four recorded TAFE Connects sessions on learning design to support the implementation of online teaching and learning. Digital literacy – build teachers’ skills and confidence in using digital technology to deliver online training to students. Includes a self-assessment tool for teachers to help identify gaps in digital literacy skills. A range of resources for teachers and resources to prepare students for e-learning.

  12. Supports teachers and assessors to use technology to conduct quality assessment. Deliverables Training & assessment strategy (TAS) software for streamlined assessment design including download from TGA and upload to EQUELLA. Software for Unit level TAS eLearning resources for beginners A eLearning design course for beginners for Institute to customise and deliver themselves. Deliverables A step-by-step introduction to eLearning course. Stand-alone resources in EQUELLA including video, digital stories, templates and sample planning tools. eAssessment – Phase 2

  13. Investigate and implement LMS plug-ins, tools and approaches that assist students in determining progress within their course. Deliverables Online survey tool pilot including evaluation. Update the Learning Analytics site in eCommunities. Supporting diverse learners -including Aboriginal & culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) Develop strategies to better support Aboriginal and CALD online learners. Deliverables Review, redevelopment and consolidation of existing sites and resources in eCommunities. Curation of relevant resources for aggregation. Matrix to assist teachers to use strategies and suitable tools to support learners from diverse backgrounds. Data for better performance

  14. Broaden the scope of the Illawarra Institute Trades PD model (Semester 1 2013) for embedding eLearning with Trades faculties. Deliverables A series of blueprints to support the following cohorts to plan, implement and embed eLearning: eCommunity. Faculties/business line Teaching sections Individuals Moodle for advanced users Provide Institutes with a sample Moodle course aimed at advanced users. Deliverables Review eCommunities Moodle sites and consolidate into Advanced site Identify specific advanced topics required by TAFE Institutes Collate existing resources and develop additional resources for the advanced topics. Develop and advanced Moodle course in eCommunities. Embedding eLearning – blueprint/model & implementation

  15. eFacilitation Ongoing capability building in the area of eFacilitation: • Build a network around eFacilitation to share ideas in a structured manner • Update case studies with greater focus on effective completions and analytics Deliverables • Develop and pilot eFaciltation network sessions • Redevelop eFacilitation site to include the network base, case studies and associated resources and communication forum • Disaggregate resources (where possible) for use as stand-alone items and house in Equella.
