Mauro Giuliani • Born in 1781 at Bisceglie, Italy • 1806 moved toVienna • 1815 concert tours in Europe with the pianist Joseph • Nepomuk Hummel, the violinist Joseph Mayseder and the cellist Joseph Merk, in a series of chamber concerts “DukatenConcerte” • 8 December 1813, he had played cello in an orchestra for the first performance of Beethoven’s Symphony No.7 • 1826 Duo concert with his daughter Emilia, who had become a skilled performer on the guitar • Died in Neples on 8 May 1829 • Works 150 Compositions for guitar
