TOTAL SWIMMING POOL REFURBISHMENT SOLUTIONS • What the centre had – a 5 m high concrete diving board, serving a 12 m square, 4 m deep diving pool that could no longer be utilised due to spiralling costs of insurance, repair costs, staff monitoring. The diving board had been structurally condemned • What they wanted – a space that would serve the public more beneficially particularly, children learning to swim, mother and baby classes • What they got – a 5 m condemned diving board demolished, the area of the diving pool depth reduced to a more cost/safe effective level, (to 1.5 and .09) the space was converted into two pools that can be used for a variety of activities • In price on budget whilst the Leisure Centre was kept open thus still generating income for the client

TOTAL SWIMMING POOL REFURBISHMENT SOLUTIONS • 5 m concrete diving board was removed and the diving pool was made into 2 separate pools • The excessive depth of the diving pool was reduced using state of the art foam lightweight concrete • Two pools were then constructed in the space available • The new pools were screeded and tiled to match the existing pool walls • All the works were carried out whilst the leisure centre was kept open and other pools still in use adjacent to the diving pool • The new pools are now being utilised by mother and babies and “learn to swim” clubs
