Summary • All extracts showed Anti-oxidant activity • The ZMBPE Aq. showed Lipase inhibitory activity • ZMBPE Aqinhibited the pre-adipocytes differentiation induced by IBMX + insulin. • It also showed Insulin-like glucose transport stimulatory activity in CHO-HIRC-muc-GLUT4eGFP cells. • In the present studies we have observed reduction in body weight gain, decrease in triglyceride content, decrease in pancreatic lipase activity associated with increasedfaecal lipid excretion in ZMBPE Aq. fed obese mice.
