Also, if they are found ineligible at any stage of the examination, then it will lead to the disqualification of their candidature. Hence, check the eligibility details below: Age Limit: There is no age restriction. Nationality: All nationals (Indian/Foreign) can also apply for JAM 2023 exam. IIT JAM 2023 Exam Pattern As per the IIT JAM Notification, the admission test for all seven Test Papers will be a Computer Based Test (CBT). Next, the entire paper will consist of three sections A, B, and C. A total of 60 questions will be asked for a maximum of 100 marks. Also, the medium for the exam will be English only. Furthermore, the duration of the exam will be 3 hours for all seven Test Papers. Lastly, the question in each section will be fully objective type, with three types i.e Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ), Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions, and Multiple Select Questions (MSQ). Check the details below: Section- To begin with, this section contains 30 Multiple Choice Questions A (MCQs) comprising 10 questions of one mark each and 20 questions of two marks each. Also, each MCQ comprises four options out of which only one option is the correct answer Section- B Next, this section contains 10 Multiple Select Questions (MSQs) carrying two marks each. Also, each MSQ is similar to MCQ but the only di?erence is that MSQ may contain one or more than one correct choice(s) out of the four given options. Section- Lastly, this section contains 20 Numerical Answer Type (NAT) C questions comprising 10 questions of one mark each and 10 questions of two marks each. However, for these NAT-type questions, the answer is a signed real number, which needs to be submitted with the help of the virtual numeric keypad on the monitor. Furthermore, no choices will be visible for NAT questions. IIT JAM 2023 Marking Scheme As per IIT JAM Latest Exam Notification, the marking scheme will be as follow: Firstly, in all sections, questions not attempted will be awarded zero mark. Next, In Section-A (MCQ), there will be negative markings for incorrect answers. For each incorrect answer to 1-mark questions, 1/3 mark will be deducted and similarly, for each incorrect answer to 2-mark questions, 2/3 mark will be deducted as a penalty. Lastly, in Section- B (MSQ), there will be no negative and no partial marking provisions. Also, there is no negative marking in Section-C (NAT) for wrong answers.
