  2. Stage 1: Egg When the queen lays an egg, it will stay in the comb for about 3 days. On the fourth day, it will hatch into a larva.

  3. Stage 2: Larva After hatching, the larva will stay in the comb growing its head, abdomen, and thorax. For the first three days, it is fed royal jelly. From the fourth day until it becomes a pupa, it is fed bee bread. The larva will change into a pupa on its 9th day since it hatches.

  4. Stage 3: Pupa On the tenth day since hatching, the larva will spin itself a cocoon so it can develop and become an adult honey bee. It will stay in this stage for 13 days.

  5. Stage 4: Adult After 21 days since the queen laid the egg, the bee will make its way out of its cell, then it will clean its cell and other nearby cells for the first two days. For the next three days, it will feed the older larvae. Then, from 6 days after emerging until 11 days after emerging, it will feed younger larvae. For days 12 to 17, it will work on the hive and make honey. When the worker bee is 18 to 21 days old, it will guard the hive from enemies. It will also inspect worker bee to make sure that they are from the same colony. From when it is 22 days after emerging until its death, it will leave the hive to find nectar, pollen, propolis and water. The bee usually lives for about 5-6 weeks in the spring and summer. In the winter it can live for about five months.
