  3. Assessment Data • 2013 Access Scores loaded July 2013 • 2013 Assessments expected in September • ACT • College and Career Readiness (CCR) • K-PREP • End of Course (EOC) • Other assessments – date TBD • KYOTE • Compass • Scores will be loaded to CIITS after Campus.

Beginning of Year Training Materials • Training Materials from BOY Training • Available on-line - http://education.ky.gov/districts/tech/sis/Pages/KSIS-Training.aspx • Other BOY Training resources to be available on-line – Infinite Campus University. • KSIS Notification will be sent out to KSIS contacts when available.

Civil Rights Data Collection (CRDC) • 2013-14 Civil Rights Data Collection, early summer 2014. • 60 day comment period ends August 20th. • Additional data requirements: • School & district characteristics • Discipline • Restraint and seclusion • Single-sex interscholastic athletics • Early childhood education • Pathways to college and career • School finance (funded with state & local funds) • Teachers (funded with federal, state, and/or local funds www.regulations.gov

  6. Data Quality – It’s a joint effortSTRESS IT…Don’t let it stress you. State Level • Respect the authoritative source – The Big 3 (e.g., IC, MUNIS, Assessment) feed P20, CIITS, mobile apps, etc. • Remove duplicative state collections (e.g. Excel spreadsheets) • Communicate the impact and importance of key data • Provide validation tools – ad hoc reports, confirm button • Provide on-line, self-help—training, data element dictionary • Be transparent – public reports and research (e.g. P20) • Establish data quality advisory committee (superintendents, CIOs, etc.) District Level • Use data for local decision making to improve quality upwards • Identify the right data points of contact and champions • Improve attention to detail (e.g., original data entry) • Define responsibilities for verification. • Take advantage of verification/validation opportunities.

Kentucky eTranscripts • Kentucky Goes Live – July 2013 • Press event scheduled – July 29th in Louisville • District registration began July 11th - communication sent to superintendents. • District registration to be completed by July 31st. • New Common Kentucky Transcript • Webpage with more information: http://education.ky.gov/districts/tech/Pages/etranscripts.aspx

  9. Infinite Campus Invoices • Invoices sent to districts in May • Due 8/15/13 • Confirm payment has been made or is in process. • Duplicate invoices are available – email dede.conner@education.ky.gov

School Report Card New Data for 2012-13 • Program data – Special Education, English Language Learners, Gifted and Talented, Migrant • Teacher counts by gender, teaching method and instructional settings • Safety – in-school suspensions and all incidents regardless of resolution • Kentucky Tech System schools and secondary enrollments. • Career Pathways from TEDS for all schools

  11. School Report Card 2012-13 Tentative Schedule • 7/12 - School verification and updates complete • 7/29 - District validation begins for profile and learning environment sections. • 9/1 - Assessment, Accountability and Delivery sections to be available for review • 9/25 – Media Release • 9/27 – 2012-13 SRC goes live.
