  5. Musical Instruments Info Xylophone, Congas, Cuatro and Percussioninstruments ofAfro-Cuban origins are mainly used in Costa Rica. They use wood and metals to make their instruments. The age of their instruments is unknown, but drums have a known age of up to 300 years.

  6. Percussion Percussion is anything that produces a sound when being hit by something, shaken, rubbed, scraped, or by any other action which sets the object into vibration.

  7. Cuatro • One of the Latin American instruments of the guitar family. • It is smaller than the guitar. • Means four in Spanish, although the current instruments may havemore thanfour stringsthey originally had only four.

  8. Conga Congas are tall Cuban drums from Africa. Most modern congas have fiber glass or wood shells. There Various rhythms for the conga.

  9. Xylophones The xylophone is from the idiophone family. It is a key role in many genres and cultures. There are wooden bars in various lengths and sizes.

  11. Climate Very hot and tropical country. Costa Rica has two seasons: dry and green. It is a Central American country which means the weather is going to be quite tropical.
