University IT Architecture Council: Strategic Decision-Making for IT Governance

The University IT Architecture Council, as the technical advisory body of IT governance, strategically reviews technology commitments and makes decisions focused on IT service management and institutional mission success. The council achieves this through research, analysis, and communication within the University community, higher education, and IT industry. Guiding principles include creating linkages between IT architectures and customer value, measuring IT investments against the University's mission and customer base. Its scope encompasses a university-wide focus on IT architecture lifecycle, validating new architectures, conveying endorsed decisions, and providing technical information to facilitate recommendations.
