QFD Certification for Professionals and Training Programs in Germany

The QFD Institute Deutschland e.V. is excited to announce a new strategic initiative for certifying QFD professionals in Germany. This comprehensive training and certification program aims to provide independent proof of competence in Quality Function Deployment (QFD). Rather than offering training directly, the QFD-ID certifies training concepts and trainers, ensuring quality assurance in QFD education. The certification process comprises four levels, from Certified Potential to Certified Architect, accommodating different roles within QFD training and project execution.

  2. Certification is a new Strategic Initiative of the QFD-ID • The QFD-ID launches a comprehensive Training and Certification Programme for its Members specifically • Independent and qualified proof of competence for QFD-Professionals • Quality Assurance for QFD-Training in Germany

The Certification Concept of the QFD-ID • The QFD-ID does not provide QFD-Training, it certifies Training Concepts and Trainers • QFD-ID provides a common framework for QFD-Training; training concept and trainers will be assessed from a principal perspective not its individual interpretation and implementation in detail. Akao: „copy the spirit not the form“ • Certification will not apply to every single Training; however, Training Concepts and Trainers will be certified and Certificates will be issued for a Training performed by certified trainers according to a certified concept. • Certified Trainers may decide about the details of each training, sequence and procedures may be adapted to customer requirements within the boundaries of the certified training concept. • CQFD-ID will issue Certificates for QFD-training if a certified trainer applies for certification prior to the training conforming to a certified training concept, i.e. concerning the training outcome.

Four Levels: From QFD-Potential to QFD-Architect 1st Level: Certified Potential • Member of QFD-Teams • Any member of QFD-ID with proof of QFD-Activities or • Participants of a QFD-ID-Conference or Workshop for one year 2nd Level: Certified User • Co-Moderator in a QFD-Teams • Successful Participation of a QFD-ID-certified User-Training or qualified Speakers of a QFD-ID Conference proposed by the conference program committee and supported by a certified trainer 3rd Level: Certified Facilitator • Initiator of QFD-Projects, QFD Team Coordinator, QFD-Workshop Facilitator • Successful Participation of a QFD-ID-certified Facilitator-Training or • Active Participation in a QFD-ID-Workshop (Best Practice) 4th Level: Certified Architect • Initiator of QFD-Programmes • Outstanding QFD-Experts with a record of QFD application and method development may be proposed by QFD-ID-members for assessment by the certification board • Participation in a specific training / evaluation programme that may be launched by the certification board; Eligibility and and Grant of the 4th level certificate will is under responsibility of the certification board only.
