What’s the difference?
Learns in a step-by-step fashion until the task or concept is mastered (may be done quickly)
Shows emotion, but can recover fairly easily when upset
Curious about a wide variety of things
Learns vocabulary words easily, but speech is fairly typical of age peers
Strong opinions about fairness, but in more personal terms (i.e. He has more than I do.”
Asks questions about abstract concepts that have no easy answers
Jumps over steps and moves quickly to the concept; does not like reconstructing steps
Is totally involved; may have very hard time getting over something upsetting
Totally involved!; intense curiosity about many things or one topic of current interest
Uses extensive and advanced vocabulary; understands verbal nuances, enjoys puns and word play; often talks over heads of age peers
