  1. Model Motorcycle Peter Perrill

  2. Frame • For the model motorcycle I will be sticking with the standard frame.

  3. Choosing a theme • When thinking of a theme for my motorbike I had many options, some included coming up with a topic that I am interested in a trying to design a motorbike around this, but when I considered incorporating hurling, soccer, farming, or forestry etc. into my bike design I thought it was going to be a small bit unrealistic, I considered the fact that It could be taken as knew or innovative designing but even at that I wasn’t drawn to the idea of it

  4. Choosing a theme • After thinking about it I decided to base my bike design on the sports bikes that are already out there. I choose these because I like these types of bikes in general and I feel it is a style I could complete better than any other style.

  5. Details – tank/seat • Considering the design of the bike I have chosen I feel I can make a really ‘cool’ looking tank and seat out of foam with the two merging together to give a professional appearance to the bike. One design that I myself love in the motorbikes is the almost bulging petrol tank at the front of the motorbike and that is one of the main reasons I want to incorporate that into my own bike

  6. Details – tank/seat • The two bike below show the tank/seat designs in which I will try an incorporate into my bike

  7. Details - Mudguards • In keeping with the theme of a sports bike my mudguards will be pretty plain an will develop on from the main frame, they will be made of sheet metal in an arc shape with the sides curved.

  8. Details - lights • For my lights I will have indicator lights on both the front and the back of the bike, I will try to incorporate a dimmer switch into the main headlight of the front of the bike and there will be a break light which will operate by a brake pedal.

  9. Details - Engine • For the engine I have striped an broken chainsaw and removed the engine, I will connect a pipe from the exhaust in this to a larger pipe which will act as an exhaust on the bike, as to keep within the theme of the bike I will design this so that that the exhausts face in a upwards direction.

  10. Details - Wheels • For my wheels I hope to go with a set of multiple spoke wheels to keep within the theme of the bike.
