Draw arrows showing the order of places Jesus was taken.**What crimes do you think Jesus was charged with by the Jews? Jesus’ Trial Jesus is greeted as a King. People wave palm branches and lay cloaks on the road. Jesus preaches and drives out money changers & sellers Jesus washed the disciples feet and ate the Last Supper here Here, Jesus prayed in agony, was betrayed by Judas with a kiss, and arrested by the Jewish guards. Jesus is taken here for trial before the Jewish council of priests (the Sanhedrin)

    2. Accused To describe what Jesus was accused of by the Jewish priests To explain blasphemy, with examples. To evaluate if Jesus was guilty of blasphemy Watch the video. What did the Jewish priests accuse Jesus of?

    3. Blasphemy. Write out the definition of blasphemy. Give an example of something someone might do or say that was blasphemous. What did Jesus say/ do that was considered blasphemous? Give 2 examples . *Draw Jesus in front of the Jewish High Priest. Speech bubble what the High Priest & Jesus are saying. To say or do something offensive or insulting against God, or to claim for yourself what only belongs to God. Which of the following are blasphemy ? Which was Jesus accused of? • To say God is not holy or good • To say you do not believe in God • To say you are equal to God - the Son of God • To say you will judge the world as God • To abuse holy things eg bible, holy picture, religious objects that are used to praise God • To say God’s name in vain (OMG)
