  2. How to Use Language MaterialsIn the LLCfor JAPANESE

  3. Click on the “Dog” to Open Library Pilot -Media Finder

  4. Click on the YELLOW folder for JAPANESE (NOT the word JAPANESE) to see the materials available in JAPANESE

  5. Click on the up arrow to see the top of the media list for Japanese Notice the different types of media available for Japanese. They are listed in alphabetical order starting with Audio materials and ending with the Video materials

  6. You are now looking at the top of the materials list for Japanese. The Audio for Japanese is at the top of the list. Let’s look for the Audio that matches the “Learn Japanese” textbook. The name of the Textbook appears after the work Audio. In this case, Learn Japanese appears further down the list. Click one time on the yellow folder for Audio – Learn Japanese – Volume 1.

  7. Click once on the yellow folder for the textbook you are using. You will see all of the audio for that textbook listed by Lesson. Let’s listen to Learn Japanese – Volume 1 – Lesson 07. To listen to that audio double click on that line.

  8. You now see that Sanako is playing your selected audio file. When you are finished listening you click one time on the “X” to close Sanako. You can then double click on the next audio file you want to listen to. Please click on the “X” now.

  10. Learn Japanese Audio Learn Japanese Audio – We have the Textbook Audio for Learn Japanese Volume 1 through Volume 3 on the LLC computers. Some other audio created by the Mt. SAC faculty is also available from our Website – just check the next slide “Accessing Materials from Home” How to Listen from Home

  11. Listening from Home 1) Many audio files can be listened to on-line from the Language Learning Center website. The LLC Website is: http://llc.mtsac.edu/Roll your mouse over the materials tab and click on On-line Audio/Video 2) On the next screen, select Japanese and enter the password (japan). 3) Select Japanese McPhail Expressions. 4) Then double click on the specific topic you want to listen to. Back to Main Menu Next Topic: Pronunciation This should only be done away from the LLC. When you are in the LLC, use Library Pilot to access all audio.

  12. Pronunciation We have Digital Tape recorders to help you listen to yourself….. Tell Me More will help you pronounce sentences and give you feedback on how well you are pronouncing sentences or individual words – There are several levels of this software.
