  2. 256 new “projects” commenced since 1 January 2009. • Range from simple document drafting to commercial litigation. Legal Services Group

  3. Some of the more significant projects have included: • Relocation of the APEC Study Centre from Monash to RMIT. • Possible new campus in the Asian region. • Litigation against Brookes Business School. • Enterprise Agreement project management. Legal Services Group

  4. Relocation of the APEC Study Centre from Monash to RMIT • Project concluded (70 hours expended). • Complex relocation agreement drafted. • Governance structure clarified. • Centre operating policy developed. • Consultants’ contracts drafted to incorporate operating policy. • Novation of Centre funding agreements from Monash to RMIT. • Lease of new premises for Centre.   5. Possible new campus in the Asian region • Project continuing (29 hours expended to date). • General Counsel will be killed by PV-C if too much information is disclosed. • Feasibility study being undertaken. • Franchise model with significant scale. • Risk assessment and management is critical.   6. Litigation against Brookes Business School • Project continuing (33 hours expended to date). • Brookes has falsely claimed an association with RMIT and the right to conduct RMIT programs. • Litigation against owners of Brookes for breaching undertaking. • Legal proceedings issued in Singapore. • RMIT has an interim injunction – seeks permanent injunction and damages.   7. Enterprise Agreement project management • Project continuing (86 hours expended to date). • Negotiations with NTEU. • Advice to VCEM. • General advice on legal issues. • Drafting of clauses and supplementary log of claims. • Ensuring compliance with good faith bargaining obligations.
