  2. Shinigami Rank • As you rise in level, you will also gain new Shinigami ranks. Each player starts the game as a "Substitute Shinigami\". From here on, you will receive a higher rank every five levels. This rule applies to all Shinigami ranks except for the rank of "General of Gotei 13". The "General of Gotei 13" rank is only given to the very best player.

  3. Substitute Shinigami • Level 1-5: Substitute Shinigami • A Substitute Shinigami is someone who became Shinigami by obtaining another Shinigami's power, or by going through a much harder and riskier process to transform him/herself into one. Obtaining another Shinigami's power is done by thrusting his/her Zanpakutō into the person's chest who wants to obtain the power.

  4. Shinigami • Level 6-10: Shinigami • A Shinigami is a of Soul reaper literally is "death god"

  5. Ryoka • Level 11-15: Ryoka • Ryoka is the term the Gotei 13 use to identify those who are not aligned with Soul Society, either allies, rebels, intruders, deserters, or invaders

  6. 3rd Seat • Level 16-20: 3rd Seat • The Third Division also known as Squad 3 in the English dub, is one of the squads of the Gotei 13.

  7. Lieutenant • Level 21-25: Lieutenant • Lieutenants literally the "Vice-unit Commander" are the subordinates to the captains in each division. In terms of rank, they hold the 2nd Seat in the division. In the case of a division captain's death, departure, or other circumstances making them unable to perform their duties

  8. Arrancar • Level 26-30: Arrancar • Arrancar are the result of Hollows removing their masks.

  9. Privaron Espada • Level 31-35: Privaron Espada • The Privaron Espada are former Espada who have officially lost their rank and are assigned a three-digit number. Being former Espada, they are far stronger than the normal Números.

  10. Espada • Level 36-40: Espada • Those among the Arrancar that excel in killing power are chosen and favored according to their strength, they are assigned a number from one to ten. Those chosen ten are called the Espada. They have their given number carved into their very flesh.

  11. Vizard • Level 41-45: Vizard • The Vizard are the antithesis to the Arrancar as Shinigami who have obtained Hollow powers. Having begun as Shinigami, the Vizard appear entirely Human and bar those times where they are using their powers are indistinguishable from ordinary Shinigami.

  12. Captain • Level 46-50: Captain • The Captains (literally "Unit Commander") are the leaders of the thirteen divisions, each controls a specific division

  13. General of Gotei 13 • Level 46-50 + Rank #1: General of Gotei 13 • The Captain-Commander (Head-Captain in the English dub) is the leader of the Gotei 13 and currently the captain of the 1st Division.
