Some National Awards • Intel Science Talent Search – 40 awards ranging from $5,000-$100,000 • Intel International Science & Engineering Fair – awards worth $500-$50,000 • Gates Millennium Scholars Program – 150 awards ranging from $500-$40,000 • Toshiba/NSTA ExploraVision Awards – 16-32 awards worth between $5,000-$10,000 • Lucent Global Science Scholars – 24 awards of $5,000

Industry-Specific Awards • Society of Plastics Engineers Scholarship Program – 19 awards worth $1,000-$5,000 • Minerals, Metals & Materials Society – 1 award of $5,000 • Institute of Industrial Engineers – Gardner Scholarship – 2 awards of $1,500 • Society of Automotive Engineers – 1 $1,000 award

Minority Engineering Awards • GE/GM LULAC Scholarships – 20 awards worth $2,000 for Hispanic engineering students • American Chemical Society Scholars Program – 100-200 awards worth $2,500-$3,000 for minority students in chemical engineering, metallurgy, natural sciences • NAMEPA National Scholarship Program – 10 – 50 awards worth $1,000-$5,000 for minority engineering students • Lockheed Martin Scholarship Program - $500-$5,000 awards to minority engineering, math, and physical sciences students

Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers – awards ranging from $500-$7,000 for Hispanic engineering students • United Negro College Fund – a $5,000 award for a black student majoring in environmental, civil, or electrical engineering • Xerox Technical Minority Scholarship – at least 125 awards of $1,000 for minority engineering, physical science, computer science, and math students

  7. US FIRST Scholarships Students who have participated in US First competitions are eligible to apply for over $14 million in scholarships at over 100 colleges across the nation.
