Do not empty your bladder (unless your bladder is full and you are in pain, empty a small amount) till exam is completed. RENAL, PELVIC (4-12 YEARS) Drink 2 cups of clear fluid (water) 1 hour prior to the appointment. Do not empty your bladder. ABDOMEN AND PELVIC No eating 8 hours prior to appointment. Take your important medications. Eat light non-dairy food if necessary. Drink 2-3 cups of clear fluid (water), 1 hour prior to appointment. Do not empty your bladder.
