The Port Pirie Employment Service Area hosted a series of workshops on March 8, 2007, aimed at tackling labor supply and skill shortages in Australia. Organized by DEWR and government agencies, the workshops sought to boost labor market participation among underrepresented groups such as mature-aged job seekers, single parents, individuals with disabilities, Indigenous Australians, long-term unemployed individuals, and youth from diverse backgrounds. The agenda included discussions on key issues, presentations from guest speakers, and the development of actionable plans for improving labor market effectiveness.
