SAP/R3 Development workbenchData Dictionary • R/3 table types: • Transparent tables • Each table definition in DDIC has an underlying physical table of same name. • Used to hold application data eg Vendor master data • Pooled and cluster tables • Can have many table definitions in DDIC but only one underlying physical database of a different name, different fields. • Used to hold system data such as configuration data, historical and statistical data.
