  13. Learning Objective(s) Today we will learn the following:

  14. Learning Objective(s) Today we will learn the following: Plastics There are two main types of plastics – Thermoplastics which are softened by heat and can be moulded. (Injection moulded, blow moulded or vacuum formed). Good examples are acrylic, polypropylene, polystyrene, polythene and PVC. Thermosets which are formed by a heat process but are then set (like concrete) and cannot change shape by reheating. Good examples are melamine (kitchen worktops), Bakelite (black saucepan handles), polyester and epoxy resins.

  15. Learning Objective(s) Today we will learn the following: Acrylic Comes in a range of thicknesses, colours and can be opaque or transparent. There are two type of acrylic extruded which is cheaper and very "plastic" and cast which machines better but is harder and less flexible. HIPS 9High Impact Polystyrene Flexible, comes in a range of shapes and colours, can be vacuum formed and laser cut

  16. Learning Objective(s) Today we will learn the following: Develop an understanding of how to apply a sustainable finish Demonstrate that you can identify 1 sustainable finish and apply to project Demonstrate that you can identify 2 sustainable finishes and apply 1 to your project Demonstrate that you can identify 3 sustainable finishes and apply 1 accurately to your project Could Must Should

  17. Lesson objective - 1 Today we will learn the following: Develop an understanding of how to evaluate a product Demonstrate that you can identify 1 user need and evaluate your project Demonstrate that you can identify 2 user needs and evaluate your project Demonstrate that you can identify 3 user needs and critically evaluate your project Could Must Should
