  1. Template for the ACU Undergraduate Research Festival Posters Author, Author, Author Template: This is just meant to be something to get you started. The slide is set to the correct size (32” high, 40” wide) for printing. Figures: You can use the Insert tab to Insert Pictures, Charts (graphs) and Tables. OR You can often just copy and paste your picture, table, or graphs into your poster. Help: If you would like help designing your poster, there will be two Help Sessions. Help Session 1: Feb 28, 7 PM in the Library Computer Lab 301. Help Session 2: Mar 18, 7 PM in COBA 317. Font: You want a large font for your title. For the text of your poster, you should not go below 16 or so. The font on this template is quite large (60 pt) so that you don’t have to zoom in to read it. Change the font, font size and font color on the Home Tab. Color: To change the colors of the slide go to the Design tab. You can choose a theme, or choose colors, effects, or background styles to change the poster from this boring white. Be sure you can actually read the font against the color you have chosen. Save your file: If you are using our free printing: Name: LastnameURF13.ppt, for example SutherlinURF13.ppt PowerPoint: If you used PowerPoint, save as .ppt. (Do not convert to .pdf or .pptx!) Photoshop: Save as .pdf Proofread: Be sure to proofread your poster and have someone else proofread it also. You can print it to a single sheet of paper, but it takes good eyesight and or a magnifying glass to read it. Free Printing: If you would like to have your poster printed for free, email your poster to Hilary Simpson (hilary.simpson@acu.edu) by 5 PM on Wednesday, March 18. Insert Text boxes: Click the insert tab then text box to, well, insert a new text box.
