  1. Store Summary Tevatron Coordinator - FNAL 10/21/2019

  2. The Numbers

  3. The lumi chart Tevatron Coordinator - FNAL

  4. Problems • Pbar long blowup at the beginning of stores • RF pond water pressure – cleaned strainers • CDF lumi readback problems • TEL trips (swapped IP power supply) • A2 lead flow - orifice changed • A4 quench (St# 7296) due to cryo control power • E4 Quanch @160GeV, not understood (adjusted chroms) Tevatron Coordinator - FNAL 10/21/2019 4

  5. Studies/Work Completed • Tune, coupling & chromaticity adjustments for ramp and squeeze • Separator scans (+1% Lumi at CDF) • D0 IP moved, orbit stab corrector change reverted • Direct chromaticity measurements on ramp & squeeze Tevatron Coordinator - FNAL 10/21/2019 5

  6. D0 IP Tevatron Coordinator - FNAL

  7. Ghost line quench? Tevatron Coordinator - FNAL

  8. IPM work • Changed to new HV ON routine with better diagnostics • By code archeology, found that measurements which failed HV test were not properly discarded • Fixed, but it seems this was not the cause of the fluctuating signal • Added automatic front-end hard reset if persistent front-end error detected • Added hard abort after 10 consecutive HV timeouts • To save MCP, and avoid constant HV ON cases. • Caused issue with proton injection, fixed temporarily with special “injection wait” SPEC • Timing scan (see pic) • Seems bad timing may be the cause of the correlation between detected signal strength and sigma • Found one board off by one sample, causes cut profiles. • To be addressed Tevatron Coordinator - FNAL

  9. IPM timing scan Tevatron Coordinator - FNAL

  10. Board sync issue Related to new timing delay value? Race condition? Tevatron Coordinator - FNAL

  11. Studies • Redo IPM EOS with better vacuum datalogging (15mins) • T980 (2h, daytime) • Tune Mult (2h) • B48 separator flourinert re-fill (between stores) Tevatron Coordinator - FNAL
