  5. It’s a Process NOT a Project Creativity is key, and creativity takes trial and error… lots of error. There is no magic set of instructions to make you successful Create FAIL Learn List You will fail. Failure doesn’t mean you’re done. It means you learned something and will try again, and again if needed. Passing a class, doesn’t mean its over. For a DIFD major, the learning is just beginning.

My tips for college life • Stay busy (get involved) • Make good habits early • Take risks (healthy risks) • Don’t delay (major courses, cultural events, etc) • Set goals and set triggers • Take notes on paper (or a writing app) then type them up • Track your time (see where it goes) • Don’t ever say “I don’t have the time.” • Be safe and don’t be stupid • Get an internship or a job in your field while going to class • Get to know your professors • Get in shape • Volunteer for non-profits • Stay out of debt
