  2. Go for the GOLD The Region is currently at 14.86% Gold. This figure is slightly down compared to the last reporting period but is due to more individuals having taken the Assessments throughout the region and represents less than a 1% decline from last reporting period.

  3. CWRC Counties Attained Dougherty, Mitchell & Grady Counties have achieved CWRC status. The Consortium continues active work with all communities in the region in order to achieve certification status for all by the end of the Grant period.

  4. Dougherty County 100% Mitchell County 100% Grady County 100% Baker County 62% Decatur County 73% Thomas County 81%% Early County 83% Lee County 85% Randolph & Clay 56% CWRC Counties In-progress

  5. Career Pathways The Consortium has contracted with Georgia Tech to develop a comprehensive STEM Program in each high school throughout the Region. Activity is underway and interest is high among both CTAE Instructors and students in each school system. We are awaiting assistance in the area of Career Pathways and look forward to working with our Laison to be assigned.

  6. Industry Networks The Southwest Georgia Agribusiness Consortium has held 2 Industry Network meetings and have completed the Industry Survey instruments. We are currently working with each of the participating companies (7 of them) to implement common training needs. The next IN meeting is scheduled for February 17th at which time we will offer and schedule specific training topics, dates and times.

  7. Home/Core Team In addition to the extended Core Team for the Region, The Leadership Team and the Core Team made a decision to institute a “working’ group consisting of fewer members of the Core Team and that meets on a monthly basis to review and discuss Region goals and progress. This has resulted in better communication between the Team Leaders, the Core Team and the Project Manager.
