  2. Introduction The rainforest is a great place. The rainforests of the world are very helpful. The rainforests of the world are very hot. In the rainforest it is very humid. Lots of animals live in the rainforest. They are found in South Asia, South America, Africa, and Pacific Islands. The rainforest is home to many plants

  3. Forest Floor and Understory The forest floor and understory are the two lower layers. The forest floor is the lowest layer. The understory is the second lowest layer.

  4. CANOPY AND EMERGENT LAYER The Canopy and Emergent layer are the top layer of the Rainforest. The Canopy is also called the umbrella. They are home to many birds.

  5. Supplies We Get From The Rainforest We get vanilla and cocoa from the rainforests. We also get bananas and even rubber. We can even get gum. We get many cool things from the rainforest.

  6. Introduction and Appearance Piranhas are fish with razor sharp teeth. They also have round bodies. They also have cool colors.

  7. Habitat My animal lives on the forest floor. It also lives in rivers. They eat fruits and seeds that fall in the river.

  8. Diet The piranha eats baby birds, shrimp. They also eat scales from other fish. They could also eat worms.

  9. Predators or Prey My animal’s predators are the caiman. They eat fruit and seeds. They prey upon small fish in the river.

  10. Adaptations My animal uses its teeth and sense of smell to help it survive. They also live in groups to help them protect themselves. That’s how my animal survives in the rainforest.

  11. Interesting Facts My animal does not sleep and needs oxygen. They also live in groups.
