Schedule • 7:50-8:15 Morning Work and Exercise • 8:15-10:00 Reading • 10:00-10:30 Writing/Language Arts • 10:30-11:00 Special • 11:00-11:50 Math • 11:50-12:10 Recess • 12:10-12:27 Math • 12:27-12:57 Lunch • 12:57-1:10 Read Aloud/D.E.A.R. • 1:10-1:45 Science/Social Studies/Health • 1:45-1:55 Pack Up and Dismissal

  4. Behavior • Touchdown (Green) • 1st Down (Yellow) • 2nd Down (Blue) • 3rd Down (Red) • Note home if on red or excessively on blue and yellow • Rules are student-created!

  6. Tests • Tuesday: Geography quiz • Wednesday: Spelling test • Friday: Mad Minute Vocabulary Quiz • Reading, Math, Science, and Social Studies are as needed and may be any day.

  7. Projects • Monthly Projects • Integrate literacy with other subjects • Rubrics are given with project directions • Book-It program is reward as well as a grade for each project beginning in October

  8. How to View Students’ Grades • Graded Work Folder is sent home weekly • Academic averages are sent home in the weekly folder every 3 weeks • View online quizzes/tests on www.quia.com/pages/mrspinto/page1 (log-in information found in planner)

  9. Grades • A (90% - 100%) • B (80% - 89%) • C (70% - 79%) • D (60% - 69%) • F (59% and below) • Students still receive 1, 2, or 3 for specials, study skills, and social growth.

  10. Student Responsibilities • Complete homework, classwork, and projects as assigned and turn them in on time. • Read on a daily basis. • Behave appropriately in a variety of situations.

  11. Student Responsibilities • Copy homework in planner on the first day of the week for the entire week. • Try your best! • Ask questions if something is confusing.
