Steps on Improving Relations Between Projects and Police • projects try to establish good relationship with the police in the beginning of their work • projects have protection mechanisms against illegal acts of the police • projects have to change the point of view of policemen towards project clients and HIV prevention • projects need to establish mechanisms for long-term relations with the police

Training “How to Establish Relationships with the Police” • Goal: to educate projects to establish partnership with law enforcement agencies • to identify methods of building positive relationships of projects with the police • to identify methods of protection project staff and clients against illegal acts of the police • to identify behavior strategy of outreach workers in the field • to identify methods of getting partnership agreement with the police
