  1. Research • Student survey to highlight the barriers to participation • Cost • Fear of the ‘sports centre’ • Prefer drop in sessions – casual format • Sociable with friends • Cater for non-sporty people • Peer to peer delivery • Medway campus lacks opportunities

What is it? • Increasing participation among non-active students and staff • Participants to complete 1 x 30 minute session per week • 5 themed blocks of 6 weeks • Fun, social, non-competitive, flexible • Members and non-members welcome • Cheap - most sessions only £1 • On and off campus • Rewards for achievements

  3. Activities • Swimming • Cycling • Boxfit • Climbing • Korfball • Tennis polo • Canoeing • Lots more….!

  4. Targets Each participant on average will attend 9 – 10 sessions per year. Year 2 & 3 we will be looking to increase our provision for students with disabilities, female only sessions

  5. How Can You Help Us? • We are looking to engage with NGB’s. • We want to qualify our students in coaching & officiating to help us deliver our project. • We need innovative and new ideas to encourage students to get active.
