BIG 5? What? • BIG 5 is the biggest internal campaign that seeks for the 5 values of the company in every employee, which are: • Refreshing (Inspiring) • Honest • Dynamic • Innovative • Efficient
BIG 5? How many? • VIVACOM has 3500 – all get involved When? • Each year around Christmas Where? • All around Bulgaria (Headquarters, Call centers, Billing Center and every shop in the country) How? • Internal communication channels and battles in the HQ Why? • Teambuilding, motivation, interaction, raising the interest in the different channels of internal communication and right interpretation of the 5 values of the company

2013 vs. 2012 Similarities: Differences: Name of campaign and name of categories HQ: not only supported the nominees, but also worked equally with them Interactive games: dancing, singing, jeopardy, truth or false, etc. Landing page: vivaplay.net • 6 categories representing the 6 values of the company • 3400 employees involved • Biggest internal campaign • HQ involved Stages of campaign: teasing, Stage 1, Stage 2 and final party at Yalta club, which is also the X-mas party for 2200 people
Teasing • Each year the campaign starts with a teasing period in order to get the attention of the employees • In 2013 all employees personally received a letter that takes them to a game on the landing page, specially created for the teasing period
Communication channels PR communication: Nominee communication: All over the HQ building and in working places outside Sofia Email 3D glasses Business cards Wobblers Stickers • Email • Intranet • NEW: Landing page • Toilets • Elevators • TV screen • NEW: Glass doors on every floor
Stage 1 - Nominations • Every employee can nominate a colleagues via SMS by sending one’s work number. An employee cannot vote for oneself. • One has 15 points that can be used accordingly: • Nominate a colleague for: refreshing, honest, dynamic, innovative and efficient – 1 point each • Nominate a colleague for: VIVA Shine – 5 points each • The top 5 employees in each category move to the second and final stage – “Battles”
Results after Stage 1 • Most challenging categories: VIVA SHINEandHONNESTANT • SMS count: 585 • Least challenging categories: INNOVANT and DYNAMANT • SMS count: 336 • No gender discrimination: 50/50 women/men • SMS count total: 1414 • Small departments involved – the smaller the department, the less chance to get nominated due to the smaller number of employees, but in 2013 the HONESTANT category was won by such a department
Stage 2: Battles Why? There are 5 employees fighting to win a category • Honestant (lie detector) against Innovant (jeopardy game) • Dynamant (dancing) against Effectant (guess the word + limbo) • Inspiral (reading, singing, reciting, and more) againstVIVA Shine(dancing, reading, guessing and more) The one, who has the most votes, wins.

Statistics and Results • Although there was no gender discrimination at first, the 6 winners are all men from 3 different departments • Number of sent SMS 2013: 34481; 2012: 32715; 6% increase; • Number of employees sent at least 1 SMS: 2013: 2222; 2012: 2142; increase engagement by 4% ; • Number of employees offline: 2013: ~300; 2012: ~240; • Number of employees watching online: 2013: ~700; 2012: ~580; • Budget framework: in framework; • Results of the survey: 9/10 people know what the 5 values are.
